Ice SkatesAN ICE DAY

Britannia Community Center holds an ice rink that’s open to
the public during the week. On Saturday, a few of us Columbia
College Students, accompanied by Ben, went to the Center to
enjoy an afternoon of ice-skating.
To our surprise, only two students out of the bunch of ten
had some experience on the ice. We tied our laces and headed
straight for the ring to be greeted by the ice on our faces –
a few beginners fell within the first ten minutes of
skating.

Thankfully, our heroes were the two students who helped us
through the complication of ice skating. An hour later, we
were slowly gliding through the ice while some were half way
to professionalism. The afternoon ended off with everyone
making new friends and learning a hobby.
