I wanted to start my writing for the CC Gazette with something real CANADIAN, and with the original Thanksgiving TURKEY DINNER during the month of October, I got the start I was looking for .  The amount of love and emotions involved in making TURKEY DINNER for all the family adds even more flavour of GOODNESS to the taste of TURKEY. Cooking TURKEY might sound a hell lot of work but in reality it is really easy and a fun process.

Now there are many ways to cook TURKEY, but the real traditional way is to keep it simple and tasty.

The whole process of making a complete TURKEY  dinner takes around 5 to 6 HOURS.

For TURKEY: It starts with putting a medium size turkey in a large size roster with one cup of water at the bottom of the Roster on 375 degrees (stuffed with the stuffing).  Its not just about putting the turkey in the roster and leaving it for 6 hours. It requires a continuous bath for the turkey broth(soup released by turkey and water released by TURKEY itself).

For STUFFING: Diced onions, celery, bread and some seasoning all together.

For the SIDE DISHES: Gravy, cranberry sauce, mashed potato, mix vegetables .

For “GRAVY on the top”: Boil leftover TURKEY BROTH in the roster with all purpose FLOUR  and mix it to make it dense .

For CRANBERRY SAUCE: Fresh CRANBERRIES boiled with water and SUGAR.

For MASHED POTATO: Boil POTATO and then blend them with milk and butter , add some salt for the taste .

For MIX VEGETABLES: Some PEAS and CARROT …

Once everything is done, you can put the WHOLE DELICIOUS TURKEY out with all the stuff on the table or de-bone it, and serve it  with hot side dishes and hot gravy.
